In this lecture I look back on my year working on the Victorian Farm in Shropshire filming the TV series of the same name. I revisit its highs and lows and the many lessons that the year taught me from the un-reality of reality TV to the difficulties of coal as a fuel.
The lecture gives me a chance to recall the generous and extremely interesting people who helped us make the program such as Owen Jones and his basket making skills, Richard and all his help with the sheep and Jim Elliot’s taciturn skill with his horses and plough
