Course Outline:
'Victorian hygiene - learn how our Victorian forebears kept themselves and their homes spotless in a world with few branded products. We will be exploring making our own cleaning products, from floor polish to hair conditioner, anti bacterial surface cleansers to cooking up our own soap.
There are some amazing eco lessons to be picked up along the way for those who are fed up with chemical Britain.'
'Laundry day -If you have ever wanted a real taste of the past, this is the one for you. This is one of the most down to earth, 'hands- on history' opportunities you are ever likely to experience. We will be firing up the copper, heating up the irons on the range, cooking up the starch, concocting a range of stain removers and dollying like mad.'
